World Biggest Spider

Goliath Bird Eating Tarantula Spider

Goliath Bird-eating Spider

Goliath Tarantuala Family: Theraphosidae

World Biggest Spider
This spider is one of the biggest spiders in the world. Living in the Amazons in South America it can reach a length 30 cm from one leg to another. However do not fear this spider because it is virtually harmless to humans. If you would be bitten by this spider then the place where you are bitten would only swell a bit (for a few hours). This isn't all , this spider has urticating hairs that he can send through the air. These hairs are invisible for the human eye and could cause annoying skin irratations! From this I would consider it as a bad pet.

Some people do prefer to have these spiders as a pet...Look here
